“With 50% of society being overweight or obese it’s imperative that we
become a healthier nation. Along with obesity, typical diseases among Americans include diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia. We have to quit making our food choices based on what pleases the palate and instead, focus on what will best nourish our bodies. Controlling our intake and weight will allow us to delay or have improved control over disease.
As a Physician Assistant and Registered Dietitian, I enjoy being a part of Dr. Slott’s team because the program uses science-based food and nutrition
information to promote weight loss and fitness. We place a lot of
emphasis on promoting daily exercise habits, overcoming destructive eating habits, and finding a weight that the patient is most comfortable with and that can be maintained. After all, nutrition and physical exercise is the foundation of optimal health.”
