Questions to Consider

Searching for the weight loss program that’s best for you? Here are some questions to ask and information to consider:

What is the pricing structure?
Advanced Medical Weight Management Center has an all-inclusive pricing structure for the weight loss program. This ensures that you won’t incur any unexpected expenses during your checkout.
When comparing programs be sure to specifically ask what all is included in each price mentioned in order to make the best cost-comparison.

What happens after you reach your goal weight?
After reaching your goal weight we provide our patients with a comprehensive maintenance plan. This program will gradually remove your appetite suppressants and reintroduce foods back in to your diet. It lasts just shy of a year with visits beginning 2 weeks apart and ending 2 months apart.

According to an article published by the National Institutes of Health, “Your program should include plans for weight maintenance after the weight loss phase is over. It is of little benefit to lose a large amount of weight only to regain it. Weight maintenance is the most difficult part of controlling weight and is not consistently implemented in weight-loss programs. The program you select should include help in permanently changing your dietary habits and level of physical activity, to alter a lifestyle that may have contributed to weight gain in the past. Your program should provide behavior modification help, including education in healthy eating habits and long-term plans to deal with weight problems.”  http://win.niddk.nih.gov/Publications/choosing.htm

Is exercise part of the program?
Exercise remains a necessary and essential component to weight loss, weight maintenance and general well being. As part of the weight loss program at Advanced Medical Weight Management Center, we prescribe exercise most days of the week in order for you to reach your weight and health goals. We do not prescribe any medication that makes exercise unsafe.

What is the no-show policy?
Advanced Medical Weight Management Center prefers to be notified as soon as possible of any change of plans that would warrant a cancellation or a rescheduling. However, there is no charge for missing an appointment without notification or for late notification when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.

What is the walk-in policy?
At Advanced Medical Weight Management Center we understand how busy our patient’s lives are and we do our best to work around your schedules. For existing patients we are always willing to work you in as soon as possible, however scheduling your appointment will keep your wait to a minimum. For new patients an appointment is necessary so that we can ensure that we have the staff and time to accommodate this two hour visit. For more information about your first visit, click the “Your First Visit” tab on the pull down menu under “Weight Loss Program.”

If the plan offers protein supplements/meal replacements, how extensive is their selection?
Any time you’re beginning a weight loss regimen, you want to make sure you have plenty of available food options. This will limit your desire to cheat. Advanced Medical Weight Management Center offers shakes, soups, cookies, bars, oatmeal and drinks in a variety of flavors to help keep your palate happy and your weight loss goals on track.

What staff is on hand? Is there a nutritionist? Is there an exercise consultant? Is there an extra charge to see them?
At Advanced Medical Weight Management Center we employ several trained staff members, including a nutritional and exercise consultant. While on the program, there is no extra charge to see the consultant during your visit in order to address your specific questions.
